Thousand Islands Bassmasters has been a B.A.S.S. club since 1974.
Our home is the Alex Bay – Clayton N.Y. area.
We have an approx. 15 tournament schedule , with locations in northern NY and S.E. Ontario Canada.
We promote competitive tournament bass fishing in a friendly atmosphere.

—– Basic rules and procedures ——
The club tournaments are counted on a point system – with 1st place counting 100 Pts , second place counting 99 Pts and so on.
Each fisherman counts his best six tournaments for his year end total point score.
Example : If a fisherman fishes eight tournaments , then he can drop his two lowest tournaments.
The angler with the heaviest five Smallmouth or Largemouth Bass at each tournament wins . No use of live bait is allowed.
There are no fees to fish each tournament and there is an optional $10 or $20 pool at each tournament with 100% pay out to the winners.
We promote the protection of our fisheries , please care for your fish properly. All boats must have approved live wells . All fish must be released immediately after the weigh in and any dead fish weighed in will have penalty weight deducted from it.
Boaters must have proof of insurance on there boat and live well(s) to accommodate 10 bass for eight hours.
Non – Boaters pick a partner name out of the hat the morning of the tournament and may be charged up to $25.00 to help pay for fuel and boat expediences.
All fisherman must have a U.S. fishing license and a Canadian fishing license if fishing The St. Lawrence river or in Canada.
Awards are given for the top six anglers , rookie of the year and sportsman of the year at the Awards Banquet at the end of Oct.
A boater may bring up to two partners a year (anyone he wishes over age 8) that will fish with that boater for that tournament , as his name will NOT go in the hat for the non-boater draw for that tournament.
We leave Stratfords parking lot (100 ft before the Canadian bridge) at 4:45am for 6:00am tournaments in Canada and 5:45am for 7:00am tournaments in Canada.
For tournaments with Launch sites in the U.S. – fisherman are to be at the Launch no later than 15 mins before tournament start time.
If you are not sure how to get to a Launch , just call any club officer and they will give directions or arrange a meeting point on the morning of the tournament.
